In its “Protection of Civilians” report covering the period between 3-16 September, OCHA explained that Israeli occupation forces executed on September 18 a Palestinian woman at the Qalandia checkpoint, alleging that she “attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.”
On September 6, Israeli occupation forces killed two Palestinian children and wounded 437 Palestinian civilians, including 200 children, while suppressing the Great Return March protests east of Gaza, OCHA added.
The number of Palestinian children gunned down by Israeli occupation forces since the start of the Great Return March on March 2018 has jumped to 46, according to the UN report.
During the reporting period, 81 Palestinian civilians, including 31, were injured with Israeli live fire in the Great Return March, the report noted.
On at least 20 occasions, Israeli occupation forces fired warning shots at Palestinians in areas adjacent to Gaza’s eastern border fence and off the coast of the besieged enclave in a bid to restrict Palestinian access.
In three incursions into Gaza, Israeli army bulldozers razed Palestinian lands near the eastern border fence of the blockaded territory.
The report noted that 47-year-old Palestinian detainee Bassam al-Sayeh, from the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, who suffered from cancer, died on September 8 due to medical negligence in Israeli prisons.
Israeli occupation forces shot and wounded some 187 Palestinian civilians, including 89 children, in raids across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the UN report.
OCHA demonstrated that Israeli occupation forces carried out 128 raids and arrest campaigns across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, in which 90 Palestinian civilians were detained, during the period covered by the report.
Eight attacks against Palestinians were perpetrated by Israeli settlers, leaving two Palestinians injured and damages to Palestinian-owned properties, OCHA continued.
In three separate incidents, Israeli settlers, thought to be from the illegal West Bank settlement of Yitzhar, stormed the nearby villages of Madama, Einabus and Asira al Qibliya in the West Bank city of Nablus and cut down about 100 olive trees and hurled stones at Palestinian homes.
More than 4,870 olive trees have been vandalised so far this year by Israeli settlers, the OCHA report revealed.
As for home demolition, the UN report found that Israeli occupation forces demolished 23 Palestinian-owned buildings in Area C of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, leaving 29 Palestinians homeless.
In Khirbet Atuf, in the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, Israeli army bulldozers demolished five water cisterns, donated in humanitarian aid for the Palestinians, negatively affecting up to 250 Palestinian residents.
Israeli occupation forces demolished eight Palestinian buildings, two of whom under construction, in occupied Jerusalem and confiscated material provided to help Palestinian residents of al-Safeer community, in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, rehabilitate some residential buildings.
