Sales from production of the 500 largest industrial enterprises increased by 119 percent last year compared to 2021, reaching 4 trillion 485 billion liras.
The results of the "Turkey's 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises 2022 Research" were announced by Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).
Accordingly, TÜPRAŞ maintained its title as the largest industrial enterprise with 418.4 billion liras in sales from production. While Star Refinery rose from third to second place with 189.2 billion lira, Ford Automotive ranked 3rd with sales from production of 140.1 billion lira.
Istanbul Gold Refinery (IAR) ranked 4th with sales from production of 87.8 billion liras, followed by Ereğli Iron and Steel with 69.5 billion liras and İskenderun Iron and Steel with 66.9 billion liras.
It was noteworthy that IAR and Ereğli Demir and Çelik rose two places each.
Toyota Automotive ranked 7th with 65.9 billion liras, Arçelik ranked 8th with 64.1 billion liras, Oyak-Renault ranked 9th with 62.7 billion liras, and Tofaş ranked 10th with 59.8 billion liras. While Toyota fell three places, Arçelik, Oyak-Renault and Tofaş's place in the rankings did not change.
