The Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), which decided to take action across the country to support the oppressed in East Turkestan, was also in the squares in Istanbul.
AGD Istanbul Branch held a protest in front of the cruel Chinese Consulate General in Istanbul.
In addition to AGD Istanbul provincial and district administrations, many non-governmental organizations also supported the protest, in which more than a thousand people from Milli Gorus organizations participated.
The program, which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, continued with melody recitals.
In the protest demonstration, in which many East Turkestan Muslims were present, slogans such as "Urumqi is Burning, Looking for Its Brother", "Muslim Do not Sleep, Protect Urumqi" and "East Turkistan is Our Honor" were chanted.
After the press statement read by AGD/MGV Istanbul Branch President Mehmet Yaroğlu, prayers were said for the well-being of the entire Islamic world.
"CHINA'S OPPRESSION SURPASSED THE NAZI VIOLENCE"
Mehmet Yaroğlu, describing the Chinese persecution in East Turkestan said following words:
"Our brothers from East Turkestan are being cut off from their homes, children and spouses, parents, relatives and friends, jobs, and schools, and are squeezed into a narrow geography and cut off all ties with the rest of the world. The concentration camps, called 'Education Camps', have long surpassed the Nazi violence. These bitter facts that our brothers living in East Turkestan are deprived of many fundamental rights, their freedom of belief and thought is restricted, they are forced to live in isolation in concentration camps, and they are subjected to psychological and physical torture, deeply hurt us all. Based on all these, a fire broke out in a 21-storey building in Urumqi, East Turkestan, but 44 of our brothers, including children and women, were martyred because the murderer Chinese state did not deliberately intervene in the fire."
“TERMINATE ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL AGREEMENTS WITH CHINA”
"We make an open call to the politicians of Muslim countries; Do not sell your religion and the dignity of Muslims for worldly gains! Close the Chinese consulates in your countries by terminating all kinds of economic and political agreements you have made so far! Act together against China in the international arena and boycott Chinese goods! Otherwise, it is inevitable to hit the wall on the way, by developing rhetorical discourses against puppets and surrendering to the puppeteers," he added.
“WE ARE SIDE OF ALL THE PEOPLE ON THE WORLD”
"It should be known that; We, as Anadolu Youth and National Youth, are against all oppression and dirty collaborations that directly or indirectly support these oppressions! We express that the persecution in the world, especially in East Turkestan, will not end without the establishment of the Islamic Union, and we invite the rulers of Islamic countries and Muslims to fulfill their responsibilities. We wish mercy from God to all our Muslim Uyghur brothers who died under the persecution of the murderous Chinese state and shout that we stand with all the oppressed in the world," Yaroglu stated.
“THERE ARE 8 MILLION EAST TURKISTANIS AT THE CAMPS”
Speaking at the protest, Chinese Concentration Camp Victims Spokesperson Mirzehmet İlyasoğlu said, "May Allah be pleased with you for making us feel the hadith that Muslims are like a body. Since 1949, the Chinese communist regime has not done anything to us. There are 8 million East Turkestan people in the concentration camps that China has kept open since 2017. Children from East Turkestan are alienated from their parents, religion and culture and are Chineseized. Communist China conducts biological experiments with unknown drugs. While Chinese men are haunting our girls, our boys are deliberately sterilized. While 44 of our brothers were burned to death in the fire in Urumqi last week, China almost turned a blind eye to this massacre and allowed our people to die."
