The humanitarian crisis in Kashmir, where millions of Muslims were massacred by the torture and oppression of the Hindus, has reached a terrible point. The Indian government, gaining strength from the silence of Islamic countries, tortures and kills thousands of people it has detained in Kashmir. Pakistani Jamaat-e-Islami Party leader Siraj-ul-Haq made a call to the meeting, where the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met at the level of foreign ministers. Pointing out the inhumane practices in Kashmir, Siraj-ul-Haq told the ministers, "We must raise our voices against India."
“MUSLIMS ARE KILLED IN TORTURE CELLS”
Siraj-ul-Haq, leader of the Pakistani Jamaat-e-Islami Party, said, "Thousands of young people are captured and held in torture cells without legal trial, in operations against Kashmir's freedom movement, and most of them are killed in the process. Kashmiris, whose property, possessions and orchards are damaged, are also economically devastated. Deprivation of livelihoods, sieges and curfews also affects their lives badly. Mohammed Ashraf Sahrai, one of the leading figures of the freedom movement, was martyred in the prison where he was held without medical attention. His body was brought to his village by armed units in the dark of night and his family was not allowed to attend his funeral. Similarly, Sayyid Ali Shah Gilani, who is regarded as a father figure by all Kashmiris, was detained at home without receiving any medical treatment in the last two years of his life and passed away in custody last year. His family was also beaten after this death and they took the body by force without any permission.”
“DIPLOMATIC PRESSURE SHOULD BE APPLIED ON THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA”
Stating that the state of Jammu and Kashmir encouraged the relocation of Hindu people from India to Kashmir to change their Muslim identity, "In order to prevent the world from being aware of these actions, international media and human rights organizations have not been allowed to access Kashmir. We offer the following to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation:
According to United Nation Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, the people of Jammu and Kashmir should be given the right to self-determination.
Human rights conditions in Jammu and Kashmir occupied by India should be directly observed and compiled and reported based on these facts.
Diplomatic pressure should be applied to the Indian government to protect the economic rights and employment of the Kashmiris.
Voice must be raised to protect Kashmiris.
The Indian government should be asked to send the Indian armed forces back to India.
Investigations must end," Siraj-ul Hak added.
