Discussions continue about injustice in oral interviews applied for teacher appointments.

While many politicians reacted against the debates, Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu went to the Ministry of National Education (MEB) Headquarters yesterday and wanted to meet with Minister Mahmut Özer.

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who announced on his social media account that he was going to meet with the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer about the teachers who could not be appointed due to the low scores they received in the oral interviews, despite getting high scores in Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS), was not accepted to the Ministry of National Education, which he went to yesterday after his appointment request was not accepted.

Kılıçdaroğlu made a statement in front of the ministry.

“There will be no interviews that will mislead the public”

In the statement made by the Ministry of National Education after Kılıçdaroğlu announced that he would go to the Ministry, it was stated that the door of the Ministry is open to everyone, and reminding that the CHP was invited to the 20th MEB Council.

"CHP did not respond to our invitation. Right after the opening of our Assembly on October 1, on October 14, we again invited all members of the Education Committee of our Assembly to our Ministry. The only party that did not respond to our invitation was the CHP again. Therefore, the doors of our Ministry are always open to everyone, but we should not be expected to meet any request for a meeting to be made in a fait accompli way that goes beyond its purpose by misleading the public," Ministry said.

The doors of the Ministry of National Education were not opened to CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu, who had been waiting for minutes in front of the Ministry of National Education building.

Kılıçdaroğlu, on the other hand, made statements in front of the Ministry of National Education's door on the issue, when the door was not opened.

Kılıçdaroğlu pointed out that hundreds of teachers' rights were violated as a result of the interview exams, "If there is an injustice, an unlawfulness, if a person's right is usurped, if this usurpation is done by the order of the palace, it is my top priority to oppose it. If there is nepotism, it is my duty to oppose it. We saw that our children who scored 80, 90 and 95 in KPSS were eliminated in the oral interviews. We talked to them. It's a shame, it's a sin. It is a shame for this country, it is a sin," he said.

“LET THE DECISION BE CLEAR”

The Ministry of National Education responded to the statement "There is a decision of the Council of State", which was brought to the agenda by CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the interviews after the KPSS, claiming that the right of the candidates was violated.

In its statement, the Ministry of National Education demanded that the said decision be revealed.

In a statement from the Ministry of Education, "There has been a need to inform the public about the statement made by CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu regarding the oral exam held during the teacher appointment process. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu said in his statement; 'There is a decision made by the Council of State'. He says you can give plus 3 minus 3 points in the interview. It sets a score range. It determines the range of the score to be given in the interview with the score it gets, the score it gets in writing and the score it gets in KPSS. They don't comply. In other words, they do not comply with the decision of the Council of State. This statement misleads the public. There is no decision of the Council of State as referred to in the said statement. The Ministry of National Education strictly adheres to the rule of law. We invite Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu to explain the decision of the Council of State in which he accuses our Ministry of National Education of non-compliance. It is announced to the public with respect," it was stated.
