An interesting defense came from the Minister of Commerce of the government, which increased natural gas by 216 percent in housing and 998 percent in industry in the last 1,5 years, and made a whopping increase in electricity for the third time in just 8 months. Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş said that the natural gas hike was made because the budgetary potentials did not allow. We would like to ask the Minister Muş, who has never mentioned the situation of the citizens who are subject to unprecedented increases in the history of our country, three questions here:
1 How will the citizens' pockets withstand the hikes that the state's budget cannot withstand?
2 Which government cannot make the state's budget more durable in 20 years?!
3 And more importantly, you make a increase when your budget does not allow, what do you recommend when the budget of the citizen does not allow?!

Muş stated that all the opportunities from the budget were used and the subsidy was made at the maximum level and continued as follows: “Other than that, it has to be reflected. Let me tell you where this budget comes from. We do not have the energy resources, we do not fund it for the budget. Therefore, this budget consists of collected taxes.”

The increases are made on natural gas and electricity prices again. The unit price of natural gas used in residences increased by 20,4 percent, and the unit price of natural gas used in industry increased by 50,8 percent, and the unit price of natural gas used in electricity production increased by 49,5 percent.
In electricity, there was a 20 percent price increase in housing, 3 percent in public and private services group, and 50 percent in industrial subscribers. In the last 1,5 years, with the latest price hikes, natural gas has been increased by 216 percent in residences and 998 percent in industry. Electricity prices, on the other hand, have been increased for the third time since the beginning of the year.
