Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made statements regarding the problems experienced by expatriates living in Europe.
“OUR EXPATRIATES ARE FIGHTING WITH MANY PROBLEMS”
Karamollaoğlu said, “We were in Germany with our colleagues for a series of programs. We met with our members of the organization and our citizens in Europe and listened to their problems, demands and expectations. Unfortunately, there are problems that have been neglected and ignored for years. Our citizens in Europe face different problems in many areas, from education to health, from difficulties on the way to home, to consular services, from racism to social rights.”
“HOMELAND JOURNEY PROGRAM WITH AFFORDABLE COST MUST BE STARTED”
Karamollaoğlu added, "The government should take initiatives in these areas and take steps to solve them," and pointed out that the prices applied for plane tickets are also 'exorbitant'. Karamollaoğlu by saying, "First of all, for reasons such as Turkish Airlines (THY)'s inconsistent and exorbitant price application, especially in the summer months and during the holiday periods, the journey to the homeland, which turns into an ordeal for our expatriates, should be made easier; Policies should be developed for 'Cost-effective Homeland Travel'," he suggested.
“OUR CITIZENS ARE NOT HOMELESS AND FORLORN”
Karamollaoğlu said, “The other three important topics that our citizens in Europe expect to be resolved urgently are; The issue of military service and university equivalence and the uncertainties and incompatibilities experienced after the signing of the ‘Automatic Financial Information Sharing.’”
He called the government with the following sentences:
“Necessary agreements should be made with the relevant countries mutually and in favor of our citizens on these issues, procedures and legislation should be reviewed in a way that is clear, net and easily applicable; The grievances of our citizens in Europe should be eliminated as soon as possible. Today, more than 5 million of our citizens across Europe, 3 million of whom are in Germany, are not orphans! We are as the Saadet Party, we stand by our citizens in Europe in these justified demands and we will follow the process until a solution is reached.”
