A weekly group meeting of the joint Turkish Grand National Assembly group of Saadet and Gelecek parties was held.

At the meeting, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir criticized the economic policies implemented and reminded of the upcoming Eid al-Adha.

Tekir drew attention to the increasing prices of qurban animals and said, "Even if seven minimum wage earners pay their entire salary of 17,000 TL, they cannot sacrifice a qurban. Go ahead and do the calculations for the retiree who receives a salary of 10,000 liras. Shame on this policy that makes the nation unable to sacrifice qurban."

Speaking at the meeting, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir pointed out that the agenda was the economy and emphasized the economic policies followed by the government since the beginning of the year.

"A minister brought in by force and deceit with his savior mission; We were all told the tale that he could change the bad course of the economy with the magic wand in his hand," Tekir added.

"OUR COUNTRY HAS BECOME THE COUNTRY WITH THE HIGHEST INFLATION IN THE WORLD"

Stating that every change of minister is put forward as a new hope, Tekir underlined that everything that comes and goes makes others look like.

"Inflation has not fallen, but the quality of products has fallen. But the grammage of the products decreased. Inflation did not fall, but the food security of our people was at risk. Because of the myopic policies of the government, our country; It has become the third country with the highest inflation in the world. TURKSATS inflation announced in Turkey is 75 percent, but even in Zimbabwe it is 57 percent, in Congo it is 46 percent, even in Sierra Leone it is 41 percent. You know, Germany was jealous of us? Germany will not be jealous of us, but I wish you were jealous of Zimbabwe, I wish you, as the government, were jealous of Congo. Things could probably change then," Tekir said.

"SHOULD OUR NATION BELIEVE WHAT IT LIVES AND SEES, OR YOUR PERCEPTION POLICIES?"

Addressing the government, Tekir underlined that the public saw the consequences of inflation figures.

"Didn't oil prices increase by 170 percent in just one year? Didn't the cost of living for a single worker exceed 24 thousand lira? Isn't the number of poor people in need of help over 20 million in our country? Didn't the hunger threshold exceed the minimum wage and reach 20 thousand liras? It is necessary to ask. Should our nation believe what it experiences and sees, or your perception policies?" Tekir asked.

Drawing attention to the increase in sacrifice prices, Tekir stated that the prices of cattle sacrifices are between 130 thousand TL and 250 thousand TL.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO SILENCE THE YOUNG PEOPLE?"

Stating that the number of martyrs as a result of the genocide in Gaza exceeded 36 thousand, Tekir stated that 81 thousand people were injured.

Tekir stated that instead of preventing this oppression, the government is trying to prevent young people who react against Israel.

"Our young people rightly, as a requirement of their humanity and beliefs; They want those who continue their partnership with Israel to be held accountable. You have not been able to influence Israel, nor have you been able to influence those who continue trade with this country. Are you trying to silence our young people who rose up for Palestine? Remember, humanity will be held accountable for Gaza and Palestine sooner or later. Those who can do nothing but talk when it comes to Israel, prefer to do everything but talk when it comes to young people! Do not try to prevent the reaction of our youth, do not tarnish these pure feelings of our youth," Tekir added.
