"OUR STANDARD IS THE QUR'AN AND SUNNAHS"

Stating that as members of the Milli Görüş, they take the Qur'an and the sunnahs to the center of their lives, Turhan said, “We as a movement strive for the right order both in our own individuals, in our own family, and in the society we live in. The thing that carries us to this day and is our difference, what separates us from all other non-governmental organizations, is the criterion of the Qur'an and Sunnah. In recent weeks, we have been encountering rhetoric on social media targeting the dignity and honor of Muslims and trying to destroy them. We are never satisfied with what the scammers are doing. We do not accept rhetoric that targets Muslims with slanders and lies. We, too, are fighting for rights under the umbrella of Millî Görüş.”

“THEY ARE EXPOSED TO TORTURE”

Stating that systematic atrocities and massacres continue in East Turkestan, Turhan said; “Our East Turkestan brothers are facing a genocide. Killer China is locking people in their homes, using the pandemic as an excuse. In the past days, 44 people lost their lives in a fire that broke out in a 21-storey building in Urumqi, East Turkestan. Our brothers and sisters living in East Turkestan are deprived of many fundamental rights, freedom of their beliefs and thoughts is restricted, they are forced to live in isolation in concentration camps, they are subjected to psychological and physical torture. We tried to make our brothers' voices heard by organizing press statements all over Turkey. We have never been and never will be of those who remain silent.”
