Throughout his life, our teacher opposed the transfer of the resources of this country to a handful of minorities. So what is the Felicity (Saadet) Party doing today? just like him, it opposes the transfer of the nation's resources to a handful of supporters and 5 contractors.
Erbakan fought for industrialization, development and equipping Anatolia with factories throughout his life. So what is the Saadet Party defending today? just like him, it advocates the allocation of resources to production, not concrete and waste. It advocates the efficient use of resources and their allocation to investments that will contribute to production and employment.
“Saying is one thing, doing is another”
Erbakan fought against interest throughout his life. He opposed the interest-oriented policies that condemned the nation to debt and banks. You will say that this government also says that it is against interest. Saying is one thing, doing is another.
The most important measure of being a National Vision member and following Erbakan's path is to be a member of the Saadet Party.
Those who took off the shirt by saying that it is not possible with Erbakan's policies in the past, get up and try to teach us following Erbakan’s path lessons today. There is no such plunder… When Necmettin Erbakan passed away, he was the chairman of the Saadet Party. It should not be forgotten! I have said before; Today, the most important measure of being a National Vision member, following Erbakan's path, and following Erbakan's line is to be a member of the Saadet Party.
Saadet Party Chairman and High Advisory Board (YİK) Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu answered the questions of the Milli Gazete for the Erbakan Special Issue. Here is that important interview:
Sir, exactly 11 years ago, we bid farewell to Necmettin Erbakan, the founding leader of the National Vision (Milli Görüş) Movement. What would you say about the 11 years passed without Erbakan?
First of all, I commemorate our teacher Erbakan Hodja, who we bid farewell to eternal life on February 27, 2011, accompanied by the prayers of millions of people, with mercy and gratitude. Of course, as time passes, we understand the horizon, struggle and goals of our teacher Erbakan Hodja much better. I liken this situation to the magnificence and grandeur of a mountain, majesty becomes more visible when you are far away from the mountain. The internal and external events that we experience today show how important and accurate the point of view, the perspective he drew, and the suggestions he presented when Erbakan was alive.
When you first met with Erbakan Hodja, you were a 26-year-old young man. And from that day until his death, you never left his side. Based on these experiences, I would like to ask, What kind of a leader was Erbakan Hodja?
He really had all the qualities that a leader should have. His foresight, prudence, direction and loyalty would always reveal himself. He pioneered our country and the Islamic world, both as a scientist and as a statesman. He showed not only this country, but also the entire Islamic world and even the whole humanity, the direction and the way to go. He had a strong character as a character. For example, he never gave up his struggle no matter what the circumstances were, he always followed the right and the truth.
The way he is a follower, he clearly described it in some way, but never marginalized people. To serve this country, he met with everyone and came together with everyone. He established governments and made alliances with the deceased Ecevit, Demirel and Türkeş. He has taken every opportunity to do a good service to this country. It has never polarized, embraced everyone. He struggled not with people, but with mentalities. He did not act with vengeance, greed, and the desire to take revenge, and always strived to say goodbye, to make peace, to build our present and our future by putting aside the pains of the past. He did not see his political opponents as enemies and never accused anyone of treason. Just as we are now coming together with different political parties on behalf of the problems of our country and our people; Our teacher Erbakan followed this path throughout his entire political life. That for the welfare of our country, the welfare and happiness of our people, he came together with everyone and strived to bring everyone together, would show. This is how we saw it from our teacher Erbakan Hodja, we learned it like this.
When it comes to solving the problems of our country, we sit down with everyone, come together and take the necessary steps, despite all our differences. Our teacher used to do this, now we do it like this.
In addition, our teacher Erbakan did not resort to lies and slander against his political opponents, saying that every path to the goal is legitimate. He has always responded with this political courtesy to those who support him and those who oppose him.
We believe that; Necmettin Erbakan will continue to be remembered with the ideas and actions he put forward, and to illuminate the path of the oppressed and victims, even though it has been 111 years, not 11 years.
The fact that we can come together with different segments today and that our people from all segments say “Erbakan was right”; is proof of that.
The main theme of this year's Erbakan commemoration activities was determined as ‘Fair State and Humane Life’. What would you like to say about this choice?
As you know, every year, we try to commemorate, understand and evaluate our teacher Erbakan with a different aspect within the framework of his activities in Erbakan Week. We tried to understand Erbakan as a ‘scientist’ for a year. Another year, we tried to understand Erbakan as an ‘idea man’. We tried to understand Erbakan as a ‘politics and statesman’. One year, we tried to draw lessons by interpreting ‘honesty and kindness’, and another year by interpreting ‘morality and justice’. Because we believe that; We need to understand Erbakan Hodja more than commemorate him.
While determining the main theme of these events, we try to determine the appropriate topics for that year's agenda and climate. This year's main theme was determined as ‘Just State-Human Life’. Because, unfortunately, millions of people are deprived of minimum humane life opportunities both in our country and in our region. To put it in the words of our teacher Erbakan, there are enough blessings and opportunities for everyone in the world. But while a small minority ruthlessly plundered these resources, the great masses starved. It is struggling to hold on to life with income opportunities below the limit. The main reason for this is the exploitation ambition of global imperialism and the injustice experienced in the distribution of resources. For example, Turkey! Our country is not a poor country. On the contrary, Allah Almighty has given all kinds of opportunities and blessings. But management and sharing is unfair. This is the root of the poverty our citizens live in. For a humane life, ‘fair state and fair sharing’ should be taken as a basis in state administration. Human life is the common demand of all of us. When we say a humane life, we mean a Turkey where everyone feels peaceful, prosperous and safe. We mean a Turkey where the country's means and resources are transferred to the people, not profiteering, and where reputation is sought not in vanity and pomp, but in a personality stance. Again, to put it in the words of our teacher Erbakan, we do not mean a guard administration that creates pressure and domination over its people, but a waiter administration that is based on service to its people. As Saadet Party, we are fighting for it.
But despite this, there are those who accuse you, namely the Saadet Party, of deviating from Erbakan's line, what do you say to these criticisms?
We laugh and say “to another door”. What was Erbakan's political line? Our teacher throughout his life; opposed the transfer of this country's resources to a handful of minorities. So what is the Saadet Party doing today? Just like him, it opposes the transfer of the nation's resources to a handful of supporters and 5 contractors.
Erbakan, throughout his life; He struggled for industrialization, development and equipping Anatolia with factories. So what is the Saadet Party defending today? Just like him, it advocates the allocation of opportunities to production, not concrete and waste. It advocates the efficient use of resources and their allocation to investments that will contribute to production and employment.
Erbakan fought against interest throughout his life. He opposed the interest-oriented policies that condemned the nation to debt and banks. You will say that they say that they are against interest in this government? Saying is one thing, doing is another. What kind of anti-interest rate is this, that our country is faced with the largest foreign borrowing in the history of the Republic. We have become a country with the highest interest rates. Today, the Saadet Party opposes policies that condemn Turkey to the world's highest interest rate. So no one should worry. The line of the Saadet Party is the line of Erbakan. For some reason, everyone is following Erbakan's path these days. Those who say that they took the shirt off in the past, saying that it is not possible with Erbakan's policies, are trying to teach us the path of Erbakan lessons today.
National Vision is the most influential political movement in Turkey's transformation in the last 50 years. What is the goal of the Saadet Party cadres for the next 50 years?
We have a more beautiful Turkey and world goal. We want a Turkey where people feel free and prosperous, not under fear and pressure. We have a goal of better cities. We want cities where people are based, not rent. We want cities whose architecture has not been betrayed and whose historical texture has not been plundered. We have a better geographical goal. We want a geography where everyone lives in fraternity and uses their opportunities not to destroy each other, but to keep each other alive. And of course we have a goal of a better world. We cannot accept a world where the wealth of 80 families is more than the income of 8 billion people. We want a world where resources are shared fairly, and everyone is rewarded for their hard work. That's why we call fair sharing and a humane life.
Sir, thank you for taking the time for us in this busy schedule. Lastly, do you have anything you want to add?
I thank you. Finally, I would like to point out: Let no one have any worries or doubts... We will definitely establish a ‘Livable Turkey’... We will definitely establish a ‘Great Turkey Again’...
And we will definitely establish a ‘Fair World’. Because as we always say; Victory belongs to the believers, and victory is near.
