The National Opinion leader Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan commemorated with prayers at the tomb of Merkezefendi Cemetery over the 8th anniversary of his passing away.
Saadet Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu and the High Advisory Board member of the Saadet Party Yasin Hatiboğlu attended to the memorial program held in the grave of Erbakan Hodja.
At the beginning of the visit, Holy Qur'an recitation performed, prayers were made.
Saadet Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made a speech in the commemorative program that started with Quran recitation.
"Erbakan was a believer. We witnessed that he had a humble faith, and that he had abandoned his life to this cause," Karamollaoglu said.
Participating in the event held in Üsküdar, Saadet Party Istanbul Metropolitan mayoral candidate Necdet Gökçınar and Üsküdar mayoral candidate Yılmaz Bayat were welcomed with great support.
Saadet Party Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate Necdet Gökçınar, "When we came on the land for election work, everyone says something nice for our Erbakan Hodja. We commemorate and remember Necmettin Erbakan with respect and love. God bless him. He taught us about National Opinion (Milli Görüş)," he said.
