Regarding the paid teaching system, which started to eliminate the teacher shortage in the field of education and continues to be implemented with low salaries, paid teachers came together in Ankara and called for them to be assigned a position.
Many problems in the field of education still remain unresolved.
Paid teaching, which is applied as a 'dressing treatment' against the teacher shortage resulting from insufficient appointments, continues to be implemented.
Although paid teachers have come together many times and called for the right to cadre, no step has been taken yet.
Paid teachers once again came together in Ankara and called for staff reorganization.
“OUR NAME IS TEACHER, NO STATUS, NO STAFF, WHAT ARE WE?”
Levent Atasoy, Chairman of the Paid Teachers Solidarity Association, stated that paid teachers have come together many times and underlined that paid teachers are waiting for a solution.
"We want our rights. We have no personal rights. We are victims, there is no regulation. We are still working under the minimum wage and with half SGK premium. When will we find a solution to this? Which profession has these lame conditions? After all, we are teachers. Our name is teacher, no status, no staff, what are we? We are teachers, we do not want to live in this order for three cents under the hunger limit. We are here to appeal. Does a teacher work for 3, 5, 6 liras? For years, we have conveyed our demands everywhere, as befits a teacher. We said that this application is wrong. We said that even the concept of paid is a mistake. We are teachers. We are graduates of the faculty of education. We have the formation," he said.
“WE WILL CHARGE OUR CASES IN JULY”
Pointing out that paid teachers are ready to take charge all over Turkey, Atasoy stated that although the appointments continue in every field, paid teachers are victims.
"Here we are making our voices heard again. We want an appointment. We believe that every person with experience should take part in the government. These friends of ours cannot do other work after this age. They can't even retire. Even EYT does not hit us because SSI premiums have been half paid for years. From now on, we want a fixed position in the state. Every year, we want these veteran paid teachers to be given the right to staff in teacher appointments. We are waiting for a solution. We waited patiently for years. Our decision is clear. We will also open our class action lawsuits in July. We will either take our rights or we will," he added.
"As the Paid Teachers' Solidarity Association, we call out to all officials from here. We are one of the most disadvantaged segments of society.
Are there paid police? None…
Are there any paid doctors? None…
Are there any paid MPs? None…
Why are there paid teachers?
We don't want the paid name!
Paid - paid - paid
We are fed up! We do not work for wages, we are teachers, we do work of the heart!
Someone must put an end to this suffering now. A teacher should never work under these conditions. First of all, our President and then our Minister of National Education should hear our voice. We are teachers! We are the people who educate and direct the society. Are these conditions good for us? We will continue to seek our rights as paid teachers. We want to believe that our voice will be heard because there is no other choice. We, who do not even want our name to be mentioned as paid teachers, do not want to work under these conditions!
We would like to thank everyone who listened to us here, participated in our event, supported us, and voiced us."
