Pakistan Embassy in Ankara organized the 76th Independence Day program. While the messages of the President and Prime Minister who sent written messages to the program were read, the Pakistani flag was hoisted.
Speaking on the Independence Day program, Ankara Ambassador Yusuf Cüneyd stated that his country has come a long way in 76 years.
"Today, Pakistan is a thriving country with a population of over 240 million people and is an important member of the international community. Our people have excelled in almost every aspect of life, from winning honorable awards to triumphant summits, developing technologies, manufacturing cutting-edge defense, running the world's largest ambulance service, and producing high-quality exports. Like every country, Pakistan has witnessed its share of the challenges of our time, but despite this, our determination is just as strong. It is now our responsibility to realize the ideals of our founding leaders and to play our part in the sustainable and inclusive development of the country. Now is the time to introduce the 'Pakistan' brand," Cüneyd said.
INDIA'S OCCUPATION OF CAMMU AND KASHMIR MUST END
Emphasizing that there should be no colonialism in today's world, Junayd referred to India's occupation policy in Jammu and Kashmir, he said, "The atrocities in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir must end immediately. And consistent with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions, the final determination of the situation of Jammu and Kashmir should be carried out in accordance with the will of the people of Kashmir and giving them the right to self-determination. Thus, one of the longest global conflicts on the UN agenda should come to an end. In this way, not only will our moral and ethical responsibility towards Kashmiris be fulfilled, but also the foundations of lasting peace and prosperity in South Asia will be laid."
"OUR RELATIONS WITH TURKEY WILL CONTINUE"
Emphasizing that his country's relations with Turkey will strengthen and develop, Cüneyd continued his words as follows:
"The two countries have always stood by each other and will continue to be. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Turkish government for illuminating the Bosphorus bridges in the colors of the Pakistani flag today. These gestures are a testament to our ever-growing relationship."
