A letter was sent from Palestine to 3 officials at the United Nations (UN) regarding Israel's escalation of attacks against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza.
According to the official Palestinian news agency, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the UN, sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, to the President of the Security Council Pascale Christine Baeriswyl in May, and to the President of the UN General Assembly Csaba Körösi.
In the news, it was noted that Mansur's letters told about Israel's escalation of its attacks against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza.
In the letters, it was emphasized that Israel's actions were war crimes and that those responsible should be brought to account by the international community.
He underlined that actions should be taken by the international community in order to protect civilians, ensure peace and security, and put an end to the existing illegal situation.
Mansur pointed out that Israel carried out airstrikes on many points in Gaza on Tuesday morning, within a few hours after the illegal "murderer" operations in the West Bank.
Stating that 15 Palestinians, including 4 children and 4 women, were martyred as a result of air operations, Mansur reminded that 3 of the 22 wounded were children and 7 were women.
Mansur made the following statements:
"Unlawfully, Israel planned to kill Palestinians willfully with these attacks. We call for the immediate accountability of the perpetrators and violations of international law and human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories. The time has come for Israel to end its dependence on impunity, killing, destruction, exploitation and annexation."
15 PEOPLE MARTYRED IN ISRAEL'S ATTACK ON GAZA
In the airstrikes carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip, 15 people, including women and children, were killed and 22 injured.
It was announced that 3 people from the military staff of the Islamic Jihad Movement were among those killed in the attacks.
On the other hand, 15 Palestinians were injured in the raid by Israeli forces on the city of Nablus in the West Bank.
