While the third installment has to be paid to date in the restructuring of tax debts, it is important that the first installment of the Property Tax for this year is paid within the same period.
From the debt restructuring installment to the income and corporate temporary tax returns for the first temporary tax period, from the first installment of the Property Tax to the VAT reductions applied in some sectors, the deadlines for many taxes will end today.
According to the compilation made by the AA correspondent, taxpayers are busy for taxes that will expire today. The third installment payment period of the debts restructured within the scope of the Law on Restructuring of Certain Receivables No. 7256 started on May 1.
The payment period for this installment will expire today. In addition, the 17th installment payment period of debts restructured within the scope of the Law on Restructuring of Certain Receivables No. 7143 will expire on the same day.
Payments can be made from the Interactive Tax Office or the mobile application of the Revenue Administration. From the "Debt Inquiry and Payment" section of the Presidency's www.gib.gov.tr address, it is possible to make payments with debit/credit cards of contracted banks and cards of banks operating in foreign countries between 02.00-23.45.
Payments can also be made from a bank account through transfers, banks authorized for tax collection, tax office cashiers or PTT branches.
TEMPORARY TAX STATEMENTS WILL BE GIVEN
Due to the demands and the curfew during the full closure process, the submission and payment periods of the income and corporate temporary tax returns for the 1st Temporary Tax Period (January-February-March) of 2021 were also extended.
Accordingly, the filing of income and corporate temporary tax returns and the payment deadlines for the taxes accrued on these returns will expire at the end of the day.
The deadline for taxpayers who were affected by force majeure due to Kovid-19 and then resumed their activities has arrived.
These taxpayers are also required to pay their taxes for their withholding declarations for the period October-November-December 2020 by the end of the day.
The first installment payment periods of real estate and environmental cleaning taxes for 2021 will also end today.
IMPLEMENTATION OF INCENTIVE WILL END
The tax cuts initiated to support economic activities affected by the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic will expire on May 31.
Accordingly, the tax on workplace rental withholding was reduced from 20 percent to 10 percent, and VAT on workplace rental services was reduced from 18 percent to 8 percent.
Considering the sectors most affected by the epidemic, the VAT rate in many sectors from food and beverage services subject to the general rate to passenger transportation, from concert, fair and amusement park entrance fees to organization services provided in wedding, wedding, ball and cocktail halls, from barbering and hairdressing to maintenance and repair services. It was temporarily reduced to 8 percent instead of 18 percent until the end of the year.
The 1 percent discounted VAT rate on overnight services in accommodation facilities will be valid until 30 June 2021.
