It was decided to build an Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) with the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Technology in Çambükü village, whose main source of livelihood is agriculture and animal husbandry. If OSB is built on the aforementioned agricultural lands, the living space of Çambükü residents will be usurped, and the main livelihoods of the villagers will be taken away from them. As a result of the discoveries made by the Samsun Regional Administrative Court by the experts, it was revealed in the reports that the lands were suitable for agriculture and animal husbandry. However, as a result of the complaints of the local authorities, who could not digest the situation, those who were in the expert committee were condemned. The former headman of the village, İlyas Celep, was dismissed with his 4 members, and an investigation was initiated against them, as he did not transfer the lands belonging to the village legal entity requested by the district governor's office. Stating that there was no careful location study for the OSB, Attorney Selim Saray and former Çambükü District Headman İlyas Celep, who was dismissed, spoke to our newspaper.
“WE ARE NOT AGAINST INDUSTRY BUT AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK WILL END”
Çambükü former Neighborhood Headman İlyas Celep, who was dismissed because he did not transfer the land, said, “They came here from Samsun Regional Administrative Court for reconnaissance. A report was given as 78 percent suitable for agriculture and animal husbandry. They also sentenced the expert because of this report. Now they want new discovery, they will put their own conviction. The date of the discovery to be made is also unknown. The villagers are always standing. If OSB is applied, only the area where my house sits remains. There are nearly 3,000 animals in our village. When industry comes here, it will have killed livestock and agriculture. When industry comes, animals do not have a chance to come to the door. Citizens will lose these animals. The villagers only have the area of the house where they live. Çambükü is the smallest village of Taşova. However, it is the village that deals with agriculture and animal husbandry the most. We strive on our own. The district governor says that you will sell the village legal entity to the OSB. And I say that I did not come to sell this village. I came to look after the citizen's right. Later, they dismissed us and appointed a trustee in our place. Initially, this money was collected from the tradesmen for the village of Dörtyol. Then they decided on my village overnight. We continue the fight. We are not against the industry, but we do not want OSB in this region.”
“THIS IS A MEADOW, THIS IS AGRICULTURAL LAND SAID IN THE REPORT”
Stating that the lands were suitable for agriculture and animal husbandry in the expert reports, Attorney Selim Saray said, "Our villagers have filed lawsuits against the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Samsun Administrative Courts for the annulment of the aforementioned issue. Two of them received expert reviews from the Samsun 2nd and 3rd Administration, especially from the files regarding the genus change and the establishment of the OSB. I have the reports now. The reports say that the shape was followed in the breed change, but the breed change should not be done. In short, it is said in the report that this is pasture, this is agricultural land. Therefore, it is said that OSB cannot be made here. As an alternative for determining the OSB location, at the moment, I have a report at the point where the designated Dörtyol village was shown as an alternative in form and was passed off as 1st class pasture without adequate examinations.”
“MUKHTAR AND HIS DELEGATION WAS REMOVED”
Saying that they see Çambükü village as small, “It was thought that the village would not be claimed. Therefore, the state officials, namely the governorship, the Organized Industry Entrepreneurship Committee, the Taşova Municipality, the Taşova District Governor's Office made their decisions, and they thought that they would come to this stage without seeing any obstacles. However, their intolerance is so advanced that as soon as they realized that they would lose the case, they started to put pressure on the transfer of the places that belong to the legal entity of Çambükü village. There's pressure on the transfer. As a result, the villager says, if our pasture and agricultural land are taken from us, we will perish. This answer is given against the written order of the district governor. The district governorship dismissed the headman and the delegation, saying, ‘Wow, sir, are you not complying with the written order?’ There is no example of this way dismissing in Turkey. They were not satisfied with these dismissals, and the Committee of Organized Industry Entrepreneurs filed administrative complaints against these expert committees, which expressed their opinions against them. In short, they are preparing for the 2023 elections," Saray added.
“THEY THREATED BECAUSE YOU WON'T PARTICIPATE IN THE PRESS RELEASE”
Claiming that members of the local press who wanted to report the incident were threatened, Saray said, “The district governor invites the villagers. The mayor is also present at the invitation of the district governor. I mean, they control the governor. In the next room, there is the Justice and Development Party (AKP) district organization and a member of the provincial council. The villager has good reason to protest. There is no need to take this event into politics, the peasant is already right. The reason for their withdrawal into politics is that the Mayor of Taşova is a member of the AKP, and almost all of the entrepreneurs of Taşova Organized Industry are members of the AKP. Because of this, I understand better the reason for withdrawal into politics. The day before the press release, the district governor, called me and the former headman of the village who was dismissed, to go out for tea. Again, before the press releases we will make, all the members of the local press were called by the district governor and the governor's office and threatened that ‘you will not participate in the press release.’”
