Two village guards were martyred and three others wounded when the PKK terrorist group attacked a minibus with rocket-propelled grenades in southeastern Diyarbakir province Wednesday, according to a military source.
The guards came under attack when they were returning from the Tepe region following a security operation, the source, who spoke anonymously due to restrictions on talking to media, said.
The casualties were taken to the Diyarbakir Selahattin Eyyubi State Hospital.
An operation to nab the assailants remains underway.
Meanwhile, a PKK terrorist was killed and another was wounded in an operation against the terrorist group in northeast Turkey’s Erzincan province Wednesday, the regional governor’s office said in a statement.
