Political parties in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) started their weekly group meetings.

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to Israel's attacks on Palestine at the group meeting and criticized the government harshly on the economy.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli supported Palestine and blamed those who support Israel.

“IT IS THE RIGHT OF EVERY DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY TO DEFEND THE PALESTINE CASE”

Speaking about the conflict in Palestine, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that 2.5 million Palestinians live in Gaza, which is under Israeli attack.

"They live in very difficult conditions. There is hunger, there is poverty, they have a lot of problems, and most of the world is indifferent to these problems. Of course, it is the right of every democratic country to defend the just cause of the Palestinian people. If I remember correctly, in the 1970s, revolutionary youth also fought in Palestine to support the Palestine Liberation Organization. We never forgot that their graves are in Palestine. But no just cause justifies the killing of civilians. It casts a shadow over your just cause. Particularly international organizations need to make efforts in this regard. If a problem is unsolvable, the example of Palestine-Israel is given. This problem must now be resolved," Kılıçdaroğlu said.

“ISRAEL HAS BEEN OPPRESSING PALESTINIANS FOR YEARS”

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated that Israel has oppressed Palestinians for years.

"Israel has attacked our Palestinian brothers ruthlessly, unscrupulously and vandalically for years. Indescribable and intolerable crimes against humanity have been committed before the eyes of the world. International law was violated and United Nations resolutions were ignored," Bahçeli said.

Reacting to people who criticize HAMAS, Bahçeli said, "Those who discuss why Israel was not informed of HAMAS's preparations for an attack, how the Iron Dome was breached, whether there is a political fiction behind the conflicts, and whether the conflicts are a game of Netanyahu who is stuck in domestic politics, are those who do not understand the Palestinian cause, do not want to understand it, and even those who do not want to understand it. They are fastidious, insane and hybrid mentalities that sympathize with and salute Zionist expansionism. The fact that those who did not speak out against Israeli attacks in the past have now become Israel's hooligans is a chronic mental distraction and ignorance that has overcome the wall of shame. It should not be understood from these thoughts that I aim to justify HAMAS's October 7 operation."
