Provincial Deputy Chairman Abdulkadir Kayabaş said that the hunger limit has reached 7,171 Turkish Liras (TL) and the poverty line is 25,674 TL.
Saadet Party Antalya Provincial Deputy Chairman Abdulkadir Kayabaş made important statements about the hunger limit and poverty line in Antalya, the monthly cost of a single employee, and the agenda. Kayabaş said, “September 2022 poverty line has been realized as 25,674.39 TL; with an increase of 879,15 TL compared to the previous month, with 14,951.59 TL compared to the same month of the previous year. As the economic indicators worsen, the perception operations we are exposed to are pushing the limits of the mind.”
FOOD INFLATION IN 3-DIGIT NUMBERS

Kayabaş said, “In September 2022, a family of 4 consisting of two adults and one child aged 15-19 and the other 4-6 years old was born in Antalya, for a healthy, balanced and adequate diet, the amount that should be spent on necessary foods is 1,965.07 TL for adult men, 1,663.86 TL for adult women, 2,122.85 TL for children aged 15-19, and finally 1,420.02 for children aged 4-6. The hunger limit of the family in question was realized as 7,171.80 TL in September 2022, the hunger limit increased by 245,58 TL compared to the previous month and by 3,963.75 TL compared to the same month of the previous year. Thus, an increase of 123,56 percent was measured in annual food inflation.
POVERTY LINE HAS BEEN 25,674 TL
Kayabaş also shared the data on the poverty line. Kayabaş said, “In the same period, 7,171.80 TL for food, 1,571.90 TL for clothing, 9,169.42 TL for housing (rent, electricity, water, fuel, etc.), 5,992.8 TL for transportation, 687,71 TL for education, 753,20 TL for health and 327,48 TL to be paid for various goods and services, which is the amount to be paid for the family of 4 to provide decent living conditions. The poverty line was realized as 879,15 TL compared to the previous month and 25,674.39 TL with an increase of 14,951.59 TL compared to the same month of the previous year.”
