The MHP's mayoral candidate for Adana's Kozan district Nihat Atlı, who came first as the candidate of the People's Alliance was reduced presidency due to Saadet Party's appeal to the Provincial Election Board.
In the local election held on Sunday, March 31, 2014, the presidency of Nihat Atlı, elected as the mayor of MHP in the Kozan district of Adana, was reduced by the appeal of the Saadet Party.
Saadet Party Adana provincial administration appealed to the district election board on the grounds that Nihat Atlı had been prevented from collecting general information (GBT) due to his previous crimes. Saadet Party members applied to the Provincial Election Board this time upon the rejection of Kozan District Election Board. The Provincial Election Board, which decided that the Saadet Party was right, dropped Atlı's presidency. The Provincial Election Board decided that one of the councilors should be elected as the president.
The Saadet Party, which is took second place in the polls in Kozan, wants the presidency to give its candidates, Architect Kazım Özgan.
