President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During the meeting, which was held at the request of the Israeli side, Netanyahu conveyed his regrets to President Erdogan for the terrorist attack on Istiklal Street.
Erdogan congratulated Netanyahu on his election victory.
While the phone conversation between President Erdogan and Netanyahu lasted for 12 minutes, the two names made a phone call for the first time in years.
On the other hand, it was learned that Erdogan and Netanyahu agreed to open a new page in relations between Turkey and Israel.
In the short meeting between the two names, it was also reported that the issue of economy and especially energy was one of the issues that came to the agenda.

Erdogan said that after the election, relations with Syrian President Bashar Assad could be made "from scratch".
Making statements after the G-20 Leaders' Summit, Erdoğan said, "There is no eternal resentment in politics. After the June election, we can do a fresh start."
