President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended Islamic Cooperation Organization's Conference of Ministers Responsible for Social Development.
In his speech at the conference, President Erdoğan said, "Muslims, who make up about one quarter of the world's population today, unfortunately do not have political influence, economic, social and cultural development in proportion to their power. Although the foundations of humanity's level of development have been laid in Islamic geography, we must think carefully, analyze and produce solutions to the causes of the Muslims today. Otherwise, we can't get anywhere just by complaining, just beating, just talking. There is nothing we can achieve by waiting for others. It is up to us, the Muslims, to take the Islamic Civilization to its rightful place."
Each of the Islamic countries has separate problems
"The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is the most important tool in our hands because it is a structure that brings together all the countries whose populations are composed of Muslims," Erdoğan said.
"But we also see that it is possible to achieve this. Of course, each of the Islamic countries has its own shortage. Some people suffer from governments that do not listen enough to the voice of their people. There is a test of misery at some level. Some are struggling with the scourge of terror or the fight of the brother. Islamic countries, which are closed for various reasons, are wasting their opportunities and energies and wasting them," he added.
"THE OPRESSED ONE'S ARE ALWAYS MUSLIMS"
President Erdoğan said, "As you know, the foundation of the Islamic Cooperation Organization is based on the Jerusalem case. Unfortunately, the situation in Jerusalem and its inseparable part in Palestine is getting worse every day."
"Today we are faced with a picture of Palestine in the streets where innocent young girls, fathers, mothers, elders, children, young people are publicly executed and brutally killed by Israel. Likewise, there are developments against Muslims in many places, especially in Kashmir, Arakan and Turkestan. Islam and anti-Muslim hatred, which is becoming more widespread in Western countries, is another important problem. In any case, it is always the Muslims who become victims and become oppressed," Erdoğan said.
"THE FOUNDATION OF THE FAMILY HAS COLLAPSED"
Erdogan said, "One of the most important signs of our Islam is the power of our family institution. The common feature of all societies that see their future under threat today is that they have weakened, distorted and exposed the family institution. At this point, no incentives, no financial support, no incentives are not enough to bring the family institutions of such countries back to their feet. Because the foundation has collapsed. As Islamic countries, the more we take care of our family institution, the more confident we can look at our future. All of us have important duties in this regard, especially in my own country. We have to remember repeatedly that a strong family structure means a strong society, which together means our secure future."
"ALL TOGETHER TO START A MOBILITY IN THIS ISSUE"
"In this respect, domestic violence is one of the most important threats we should avoid. We cannot build a strong family structure without ending the problem of mental and physical violence suffered by women and children. Together we should initiate a mobilization on this issue and we must reach our goal of a peaceful society with the understanding of sever we love the creature because of the creator," he added.
