President Erdogan, while saying that there might be a new meeting with Sisi, gave the green light to meet with Assad!
Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Good (IYI) Party held their weekly group meetings in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave information about the ongoing operations in northern Syria at the group meeting of his party. Good Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener came to power over the economy.

Drawing attention to the Turkish Armed Forces' (TSK) operations in Syria and northern Iraq, President Erdoğan said: “We created a part of this strip with the cross-border operations we carried out. We will take care of places like Tel Rifat, Manbij and Ayn El Arab one by one. While we continue our air operations without interruption, we will destroy the terrorists by land at the most convenient time for us. The day when those concrete tunnels will become their graves is near.”

Speaking about the 5,9 magnitude earthquake that took place in Düzce, Erdoğan said, “Although the earthquake caused damage to many buildings in Gölyaka, we did not encounter serious destruction. Our institutions are carrying out detection and compensation works.” Erdogan answered journalists' questions after the group meeting. Erdogan: "Will there be a second meeting with Egyptian President Sisi?" He replied “Maybe” to the question. Asked about the time of the possible meeting, the President said, "Is the date given?" he said. Erdogan was also asked if he would meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad. Erdogan said, “There may be a meeting with Assad. There is no vexation or resentment in politics, eventually we will take our steps.”

Good Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener, on the other hand, burdened the Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu with harsh words and said, “We need a minister of interior that his trademark is not to make sloopy statements at every opportunity, but to do his job seriously and with merit, and preferably read a few articles on security.” Akşener again brought up the words "gambling table" and said: "The Good Party has no place at the gambling table. The Good Party does not bet on the future of the nation. The table of Mr. Erdogan and his junior partner is such a gambling table that the table always wins.
