The Housing Price Index (KFE) data for the period of October 2022 has been announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB). The KFE (2017=100), calculated to monitor the price changes adjusted for the quality effect of the houses in Turkey, increased by 5,4 percent in October compared to the previous month and was recorded as 605,8. While the Housing Price Index increased by 188,2 percent on an annual basis in October, the real increase was 56,3 percent in this period.
ANNUAL INCREASE IN ISTANBUL EXCEEDED 200 PERCENT!
Looking at the changes in the housing price index for the three big cities, there was an increase of 4,7 percent, 5,3 percent and 6,2 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, in October compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 204,6 percent in Istanbul, 194,1 percent in Ankara and 186,4 percent in Izmir compared to the same month of the previous year.
