Months ago, Milli Gazete drew attention to the rise in oil prices with its "Mr. Oil" headline.

The citizen, who could not bring the end of the month due to the economic crisis, could not take the oil home, which had a record hike in the last year.

When the oil prices were not lowered, the companies for citizens whose purchasing power decreased, went to reduce the packaging.

While 5 liter oils decreased to 4 liters, now 1 liter and 0.5 liter oils are also available for sale.

DEMAND FOR 0.5 LITER LIQUID OILS INCREASES

The oil problem, which has increased more than ever in recent years, cannot be solved due to the decrease in the purchasing power of the households in the country and the wrong policies in agriculture.

When the increase in oil prices, which is an indispensable part of our kitchens, could not be prevented, the citizens found the solution in liquid oils with a low weight.

After the "liquid oil for 2 TL per glass" application in grocery stores that came to the fore last week, the demand for 0.5 liter liquid oils is now increasing in the markets.

THE MAIN REASON OF THE INCREASE IS IMPORTED SUNFLOWER OIL

The biggest reason for the increase in oil prices is that the farmer is not the production choice of the farmer due to the insufficient state support despite the production cost and the imported oil.

Turkey is the world leader in sunflower oil imports! Due to the wrong agricultural policies followed in our country, which is suitable for sunflower cultivation, we have become dependent on Russia and Balkan countries for oil. In our country, where there was a serious crisis regarding oil prices, sunflower import was 1 million 136 thousand tons in 2019.
