The tea producer was once again condemned to be crushed at the hands of the private sector. Tea producers, who were delighted with the good news they received from President Erdogan, learned that the explanations were in vain in the first harvest.

The purchase price of fresh tea, announced by President Erdoğan as 3 liras, 87 kurus plus support and 4 liras, forced the producer to the private sector with the quota of ÇAYKUR applied per acre. Wet tea, which was purchased at 2,4 and 2,5 prices, which is half the price in the private sector, again aggrieved the producer. Ahmet Muratoğlu, the district head of Trabzon Of, which is the heart of tea production, made important statements.

Muratoğlu stated that the statements made by ÇAYKUR in the name of eyewash have no effect on the producer.

"The statements made by ÇAYKUR on behalf of the producer, who raised his voice against the quota problem that started in the first bar this year, look like the inflation of the country's economy on paper. While the economy of the citizens is in a difficult situation, the mentality of those who show that our country is at the top of the world rankings with numbers is the same as the mentality of ÇAYKUR. ÇAYKUR General Manager, who said that about 204 thousand families in Artvin, Rize, Trabzon and Giresun are engaged in fresh tea cultivation, also stated that they will make the highest fresh tea purchase in its history this year. Looking at the words, we do not see any problems. But when we look at the producer, we see that he cannot give his tea as he wants, he can give 400 kg of tea per acre, and this is sometimes reduced at a daily rate," he said.

“MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED”

"In our region, there are 47 factories affiliated to ÇAYKUR General Directorate and 194 factories belonging to private companies and tea buying places. We have more than 204 thousand tea producers in our region. The total agricultural area is around 835 thousand decares. There are approximately 1 million citizens who make a living from this sector. Unfortunately, ÇAYKUR is gradually losing its weight in tea production, which is of interest to such a large audience. This situation benefits the private sector and the producer is victimized by the low tea purchase price," he added.
