Americans on Thursday continued to protest a stunning presidential election victory by Donald Trump as he struck a humble tone in a first vis-à-vis meeting with Barack Obama.
Anti-Trump demonstrations took hold in at least one dozen cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Seattle after the business mogul became the president-elect early Wednesday.
Trump responded to the “unfair” protests via Twitter.
“Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!” he tweeted.
Trump also weighed in earlier about his meeting with Obama, saying: “A fantastic day in D.C. Met with President Obama for first time. Really good meeting, great chemistry. Melania liked Mrs. O a lot!”
Meanwhile, in front of his Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, protesters yelled into the night, “Impeach Donald Trump”.
