The statements made, the steps taken cause concern! The debate that started over refugees gained a different dimension on the anniversary of Gezi Park. The linking of the steps taken and the statements made by politicians and some groups to Gezi Park brought to mind the question: "Is Turkey wanted to take to the streets again?"

Although 9 years have passed since the Gezi attempt, the economic depression and sociological problems experienced in our country at the point reached are preparing the ground for the re-enactment of different scenarios. While it was observed that the statements made by some politicians and groups in particular provoked and stimulated the citizens, this situation led to comments such as "Is Turkey wanted to take to the streets again."

POLITICIANS' STEPS AND EXPLANATIONS CAUSED CONCERNS

The statements made in Turkey and the steps taken cause concerns. While the discussions that started over refugees caused fractures in the society, now the Gezi Park debate has started. The police intervened when the deputies of the Workers Party of Turkey (TİP) put up a banner on the July 15 Martyrs' Bridge with the words ‘Everywhere Taksim, Everywhere Resistance’ at the 9th anniversary of the Gezi attempt. On the other hand, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahceli, referring to the criticisms of Atatürk Airport National Garden at the group meeting of his party, and using the words ‘No one will be able to build a new Gezi Park’ caused the concern that it would open the door to a new street protest.

IT CAUSES PROVOCATION AND INCITEMENT

The fact that the events that caused deep wounds in a significant part of the society in the past were repeatedly heated and brought to the agenda made the citizens uneasy, and it was noteworthy that this was done by the politicians. The connection of every event in the country to the Gezi uprising and the treacherous coup attempt of July 15 unfortunately provokes one part of the society, while the other part incited by it. This situation raises the concern that it will cause Turkey to take to the streets again.
