The process started the previous day for the 3600 additional indicators included in the text of the 6th Term Collective Agreement signed by the government with Confederation of Public Servants Trade Unions (Memur-Sen) in August last year, and for 3600 additional indicators, which is the first of the words on the contracted staff issue.
While all attention has been drawn to 3600 additional indicators, it is not yet known when the government will take the next step regarding the cadre, which is the expectation of hundreds of thousands of contracted civil servants.
The issue of cadre for contracted personnel, which is of great importance for hundreds of thousands of civil servants, still remains the most important demand.
THE PROMISE OF THE CADRE WAS GIVEN BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL
There are approximately 530,000 contracted civil servants in the public sector. The issue of cadre, which was requested to remedy this great grievance, was brought to the agenda again with the collective agreement made in August.
It was announced that the staffing problem would be completed by the end of 2022, along with the additional 3600 indicator increases related to the subject included in the contract text. At that time, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had instructed a solution to the issue. Now, civil servants are waiting for the promise of cadre given both verbally and in writing to be kept.
