The Kremlin released Putin's message on the occasion of the "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum 2023", where the Anadolu Agency (AA) is the Global Communication Partner, and the economic representatives of Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries will come together.
Pointing out that Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, will host many foreign guests within the scope of the forum, Putin said, "Russia has traditionally had close and trusting relations with Muslim states, both bilaterally and in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation."
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Islamic world is developing rapidly and that they have achieved concrete success in trade and finance.
"Russia is open to the widest possible commercial and humanitarian cooperation with these countries. We want to strengthen our established ties, acquire new partners, encourage agricultural and industrial cooperation and create new logistics chains," Putin added.
Stating that these relations are based on partnership and mutual respect, Putin said, "We are united in our commitment to a more just, multipolar world order based on international law. Today, Islamic countries are developing rapidly, achieving tangible achievements in trade and finance, innovation and applied research. Russia is open to the widest possible commercial and humanitarian cooperation with these countries. We want to strengthen our established ties, acquire new partners, encourage agricultural and industrial cooperation and create new logistics chains."
Noting that Russian Muslims also contributed significantly to international contacts, Putin said following words:
"This forum is convincing proof of that. I am confident that the activities of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group and Kazan Forum will further strengthen the interaction between the business communities of Russia and Muslim countries, and create new opportunities for joint projects at the regional and intergovernmental level."
Kazan Forum will be held on May 18-20.
