Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Turkey on October 10, making his first visit after normalizing Ankara-Moscow ties.
During his two-day official visit, Putin will join a Mixed Economic Commission Summit in Istanbul, TOBB chief Rifad Hisarcıklığlu said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also confirmed Russian leader's official visit.

"I don't rule out such possibility," he said commenting on Hisarcıklığlu's statement. “When all the preparations are completed we will make the corresponding announcement," Peskov said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, after a meeting with Russia's First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexey Likhachyov, that the Turkish government was expecting the official visit by the Russian leader to take place in the beginning of October.
“It is a great pleasure for us and we are looking forward to Russian President Vladimir Putin's official visit to our country, anticipated for the beginning of October. We expect that during the visit, major projects such as the Turkish Stream and a decision on lifting some restrictions imposed on Turkish businessmen in Russia, will be discussed,” Hisarcıklıoğlu said.

The presidents of Turkey and Russia discussed issues of bilateral cooperation during Erdoğan's visit to Putin's hometown, Petersburg, in early Aug.
The Turkish President's visit was a milestone to restore ties between the two powerful nations in the region after an 8-month-long row over a Russian jet downed by Turkish military near the Syrian border last year.

Economic cooperation, the nuclear power plant project in Turkey and bilateral business are expected to be discussed during his meeting with Turkish leaders.
The ongoing situation in Syria, mainly in the besieged Aleppo, and the Turkish military-backed Free Syrian Army's operation against the Daesh terrorist organization in the north of the country are expected to be the main topics to of discussion.
