While barley and wheat became very valuable this year due to the drought, it was revealed that TÜRKŞEKER, which entered the market on behalf of the farmer and bought barley and wheat from the farmer to regulate the market, sold the barley and wheat it bought from the farmer to certain companies in bulk without any announcement or announcement. While this situation was evaluated as a "shady sale" in the sector, TÜRKŞEKER Tarım Chairman of the Board Mücahit Alkan denied the mass sales allegations, but Turkish Product Specialization Exchange (TÜRİB) figures revealed the mass sales scandal.

THE COMPANY ESTABLISHED FOR THE FARMERS

TÜRKŞEKER Tarım, which was established within the body of TÜRKŞEKER, with 51 percent of its shares owned by Vakıf Katılım Bank, during the period of Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak upon the instruction of President Erdoğan, is shaken by the dubious barley and wheat sales scandal. TÜRKŞEKER Tarım, which won the appreciation of the farmer last year with the purchase price determined above the TMO in grains, prevented the farmer from making a loss by buying the products left in the hands of the producer in bulk. This year, it was revealed that the company sold the products bought from the farmer to certain companies in bulk, without making any announcement, instead of selling them to feed, flour and pasta companies in a balanced way. While the collective sale brings up the "questionable sale", it remains unknown who gains what kind of benefit from it.

WHOLE SALE ON 19 FEBRUARY AND NO ANNOUNCEMENT MADE

Before the mass sale of TÜRKŞEKER Tarım on February 19, no announcements were made and no demand was collected from the companies.

While TÜRKŞEKER Tarım sold approximately 100 thousand tons of wheat this year through the Turkish Product Specialization Exchange (TÜRİB) and as direct sales, it was noteworthy that nearly half of this sold wheat, 40 thousand tons, was sold to a pasta company in Gaziantep. While this sale was realized on February 19, within the scope of the contracted sale through TÜRİB, the sale price was 1960 TL/Ton. On February 19, when the mass sale was made, the stock market price of bread wheat was around 2050 TL/Ton.

THE GENERAL MANAGER DENIED THE CLAIMS BUT HE CANNOT EXPLAIN THE NUMBERS

While TÜRKŞEKER Tarım Chairman of the Board Mücahit Alkan denied the allegations regarding the sale of approximately 40,000 tons of wheat in bulk to a single company, he could not explain the companies that were sold.

TÜRİB figures revealed the bitter truth. It is seen that 38 thousand tons of bread wheat was transferred to a pasta company in Gaziantep at a price of 1960 TL/Ton on February 19, within the scope of the contracted sale. Despite the fact that Alkan could not disclose the sales figures and denied the sales figures, the wholesale sale of TÜRKŞEKER Tarım in TÜRİB on February 19 reveals the scandal experienced in the institution.
