Anatolian Youth Association-National Youth Foundation (AGD/MGV) President Salih Turhan attended the "Lanlako Youth Meeting" organized by AGD Sakarya Branch.
“WE NEED AN EMPHASIS OF BROTHERHOOD”
Speaking at the opening of the program, Turhan reacted to the racist expressions that have been on the agenda recently. Stating that the emphasis on 'fraternity' has gained more importance in such days, Turhan said, "Corruption, strife and corruption have been a test in every period of human history. However, if these evils that we have encountered at certain periods in history are not prevented, they may become a disaster for a community, a country, a nation or the whole world.”
“THE YOUTH IS THE TARGET OF THE GLOBAL EXPLOITATION SYSTEM”
Underlining that those who do not object to the current system of exploitation see youth as a problem, Turhan added, “It is clear that the global exploitation system exploits the youth's search for identity and their feelings of excitement. We all see subcontracted organizations and structures set traps on young people's action and excitement expectations, the existence of exploitation mechanisms that use the search and dedication of young people for their own interests.”
“YOUTH IS OUR THE MOST PRECIOUS TREASURE”
Continuing his speech by making evaluations about youth, Turhan said, “Each of our youth is a treasure for us. Each and every one of them is extremely precious to us with all their existence. For us, young means a person who tries to be useful to humanity by carrying that holy deposit that Allah Almighty has placed on the mountains, but which even the mountains cannot lift, on their shoulders, in their hearts and in their minds.”
“ISLAM BRINGS THE PRINCIPLE OF BROTHERHOOD TO HUMANITY”
Emphasizing that one of the greatest contributions of Islam to humanity is the principle of brotherhood, Turhan added, "The people who try to carry the racism that Islam has trampled on their heads today and think that they will become civilized with it, are both harming themselves and taking place as a black mark in the history of humanity."
