THANKS TO IDDEF FOR THIS MEANINGFUL WORK
Reminding that the iftar event in Bo-Kaap District creates a spiritual atmosphere that is identified with the spirit of Ramadan, Dr. Halim Gencoglu said; “IDDEF offers this iftar meal to the people of Bo-Kaap during the month of Ramadan. When I finished my university studies, I went to Bo-Kaap and volunteered to distribute the iftar meal. I am supporting. Turkey's Cape Town Consul General, Sinan Yeşildağ, and his work team also attended the iftar yesterday. On the occasion of the participation of our Consul General, we organized the iftar dinner in front of the house of the Ottoman scholar Mahmut Fakih Efendi. Muhammed Nathri Efendi and his sister, one of the grandchildren of Mahmut Fakih Efendi, also distributed iftar. In the iftars organized by İDDEF, delicious and plentiful meals are served to feed the entire Bo-Kaap District. People take meat and rice treats to their homes. We are grateful to İDDEF, and our Consul General is very pleased with this work.”
