The increase in Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) loan payments taken when was a student due to the Producer Price Index (PPI) difference caused reactions... As a result of the reaction, the government decided to regulate it... The regulation statement remained so-called, the uncertainty continues…
The payments of the KYK loans that students received from the state against their livelihoods while they were studying at the university left its mark on the country's agenda at the beginning of the summer, and then, the interest and inflation difference were deleted from the payments in the government wing, causing a decision to be taken only to receive the principal. The failure to take any concrete steps regarding the regulation announced by President Erdoğan in July caused a reaction among the students whose payments were received.
INTEREST CONTINUES TO ACCRUE
Producer Price Index (PPI) difference is added to the loan amounts received in KYK payments. While this situation caused a 3-fold increase with the rise experienced at the beginning of the summer months, it caused the reaction of the graduate students. The government, which decided to regulate against the reactions, promised to regulate it. However, it did not take any concrete steps afterward. While interest fees continue to be added to the payments of young people who do not pay because they are waiting for the regulation, confiscation notifications continue to reach many young people. While the debtors who went to the tax offices were advised not to pay their debts, KYK debtors drew attention to the fact that the interest continues to accrue every month that is not paid.
DATA CANNOT BE RECEIVED FROM E-GOVERNMENT
While the Parliament was expected to open for the regulation announced by the government to come into effect, the interest figures added to the students' debts and the confiscation notifications delivered to some students' homes caused uneasiness. After the announcement, the students who control the debt part via e-government are faced with the message ‘Service cannot be provided due to a technical work done’, while on the other hand, the processes that need to be stopped continue. Young people indebted to KYK call for action to be taken on the regulation as soon as possible through the Assembly to be opened today, and relieve the anxiety of the youth.
AT LEAST PROCESSES SHOULD BE STOPPED
Young people indebted to KYK pointed out that, at least from the day of the announcement, the processing of interest and the suspension of foreclosures will help young people breathe a sigh of relief, and emphasized that concrete steps should be taken instead of silence regarding the regulation.
