Retirees who went market shopping in Kadirli district of Osmaniye said that they could not make a living.

"The government sees 7,500 liras as too much for us. Where does we live? We would be hungry if our family didn't help us. We will go to mosques to beg soon," retired citizen Ali Kömür says.

"I will go and work daily, I am 73 years old. I will do whatever they say, according to my strength," retired Hüseyin Gürsoy says.

“THE MONEY THEY GIVE IS NOTHING”

Retired Hüseyin Gürsoy, who went market shopping, said, "I have been retired since 2016. They gave raises, but they cannot prevent inflation. They say they are passing, but unfortunately the money they gave us was nothing. Children are disgraced, citizens are disgraced. Some citizens cannot pay their house rent, some do not have enough money to earn a living. May God help us. They say we will give it at the beginning of the year, thank God. If they give, they give, if they don't, they know. I will go and work daily, I am 73 years old. I will do whatever they say, according to my strength. We pay 7,500 liras to our debt, thank God if we pay our fees and have a living left."

“We give the money with trembling hands”

"Look, we are giving the money with trembling hands, you see, right? The government sees 7,500 liras as too much for us. Where does we live? We would be hungry if our family didn't help us. We will go to mosques to beg soon," Ali Kömür added.
