Stating that the chronic problems of healthcare professionals should be resolved immediately, ‘Sağlık-Sen’ Union Chairman Semih Durmuş said, “Regulations that will protect healthcare professionals regarding the unfairness of the working capital, malpractice and violence should be implemented as soon as possible. Prices on guard duty should be increased to correspond to at least 1 hour of overtime, and night compensation should be paid to health workers."

‘Sağlık-Sen’ Union Chairman Durmuş, who visited health and social service workers in Uşak, made evaluations about the problems experienced by health workers.

“GUARD DUTY FEES SHOULD BE INCREASED”

Noting that they are making great efforts to solve the problems of health workers, Durmuş stated that the chronic problems of health workers should be solved immediately.

“Regulations that will protect healthcare workers in terms of revolving fund injustice, malpractice and violence should be implemented as soon as possible. Guard duty charges should be increased to coincide with at least 1 hour overtime, and night compensation should be paid to health workers,” Durmuş added.

“REVOLVING FUND SYSTEM SHOULD BE REBUILT”

Underlining that the injustice experienced in the revolving fund system exploits healthcare workers, Durmuş said, “There are huge differences between the revolving funds received by healthcare professionals working in the same branch, serving in the same time, serving in two different hospitals. We say on every platform that this system has collapsed and causes discrimination among healthcare professionals. We shared our solution proposal against this injustice with the authorities. The revolving fund system should be rebuilt to ensure justice and equity.”
