Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) December regular Assembly Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Assembly President Celal Koloğlu. ASO President Nurettin Özdebir evaluated the year 2021 in his speech at the meeting, and evaluated the expectations for 2022 and the economic developments on the agenda.
RISKS WILL CONTINUE
Stating that they left behind a year full of risks, Özdebir noted that these risks will continue in the next year and that industrialists are concerned about this situation.
"While leaving behind a year of high risk perception on a global basis, current indicators and expectations point out that these risks will continue in 2022," Özdebir said.
INCREASED GOOD WAGES FOR EMPLOYEES MAKE EMPLOYERS DELIGHTED
Expressing that they found the rate of increase in the minimum wage and the tax exemption arrangement positive, "The minimum wage to be applied in 2022 was announced by our President the previous week. First of all, the new minimum wage increased by 50 percent. I wish good luck to all employees and employers. The regulation will affect not only the minimum wage, but also all wages in a chain. The fact that our employees receive much better wages and their welfare level increases, first of all, makes us, the employers, happier. Having happy and peaceful employees in the workplace will positively affect both productivity and work peace," Özdebir added.
