THEY WILL TOUCH THE LIVES OF THE GIRLS!

Rotary clubs, which have been operating in our country since 1956 and carrying out activities on children and young people in many fields, have "raised goals".

Masonic organization Rotary Club has set its target for girls in the new period.

Pointing out that they will focus on mother and child, which is one of the most sensitive points of the social structure, Rotary Future President Shekhar Mehta said, “This period, we will focus especially on girls. "We will touch their lives and make changes for the better."

"WE TARGET 1 MILLION 300 THOUSAND MEMBERS"

Incoming Rotary President, Shekhar Mehta, explained the goals of the new term at the meeting.

Mehta said, “We are targeting 1 million 300 thousand members in the new period. Dreams have to be big. Because when we unite, we have the power to make the biggest dreams come true. Let each person in the club bring a new person among us, let's reach the number of members we target together ”.

"WE WILL FOCUS ON GIRLS"

On the other hand, Mehta, who also touched on the controversial issue of the last period, mother-child, announced that they will work in this field. Mehta said, “Mother-child health is very important to us. "We will focus especially on girls during this period, touch their lives and make changes for the better."

WHAT IS THE ROTARY CLUB?

Founded in the USA on February 23, 1905, the club took the name "ROTARY INTERNATIONAL" in 1922.

Founded in Turkey in 1956, the club includes many people active in education (mostly universities) and political life. At the same time, it has members from different professions as required by the decision to have an active member from each business and profession, which was accepted in the first Rotary club. Its members are usually chosen from among active people in the fields of politics, bureaucracy, education, economy and social. Knowing that the easiest way to guide a society is to have key people under control and make decisions according to their own will, Rotarians therefore work with influential people. Although the Rotary Club was against the regulations of the Ministry of Education, many schools in Turkey were named “Rotary” in English.
