A Russian tourist drowned in the sea off the Kemer district of the Mediterranean resort of Antalya on Sept. 3.
The 63-year-old tourist, identified as Olga Salomakhina, reportedly went swimming at a beach of a hotel on the coast of the Tekirova neighborhood in the evening hours after having dinner, but locals observed her standing still in the sea a while later.
Hotel personnel brought Salomakhina back to the shore and she was transferred to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead despite all efforts.
Salomakhina’s body was later transferred to the Antalya Forensics Institute for an autopsy.
She was allegedly intoxicated while swimming.
