Russian President Vladimir Putin is leading the presidential race with 72.53 percent of votes after 25.03 percent of ballots have been processed, according to the Central Election Commission on Sunday.
Putin is headed to lead Russia for another six years -- his fourth term as president.
Pavel Grudinin from the Communist Party of Russian Federation is second with 15.9 percent of votes.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky, leader of Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia is third, he got 6.95 percent.
Voter turnout at 1700GMT exceeded 50 percent
