After the last elections, the meetings of Saadet Party and Gelecek Party, which are represented by 10 deputies in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, have been concluded.

Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu and Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu announced the decision with a statement made at the Future Party Headquarters.

In the decision, it was announced that the deputies of both parties decided to form a group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey under Saadet Party logo.

According to the decision announced by the two leaders in a joint press release, 20 deputies from the two parties in total will form a group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey under Saadet  Party logo.

“WORKS DONE WITHOUT THE GROUP FEEL VERY WEAK”

Underlining that an important step was taken after the elections, although the expected result could not be achieved, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu underlined that even though there are separate parties, they are at a level to form a group when they come together.

"Work done without a group is very weak. They also made a sacrifice. They showed courtesy because we have a long-standing structure across Turkey, and we decided to form a group in the Parliament under our emblem. I believe that this group will be the group that does the most serious and productive work in the Assembly. It is possible to evaluate that there are some differences in ideas according to the point of view. It is possible to see this as an occasion for cracks, it is also possible to see it as wealth. I think that having different opinions is a great wealth as long as we work together," Karamollaoglu said.

THE FIRST GROUP MEETING WILL BE HELD TOGETHER

Expressing that the two parties took an important step after the elections, Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu stated that a step was taken both to dispel the pessimistic picture and to act against the mistakes of the government.

"Gelecek and Saadet Party deputies will engage in a joint group work. Our differences of opinion are natural. The current atmosphere makes it necessary to come together and cooperate and to remove the clutter that is in question. Hopefully next week we will have our first group meeting together," Davutoğlu said.

GROUP ESTABLISHMENT PETITION SUBMITTED TO ASSEMBLY

Saadet Party Istanbul Deputy Bülent Kaya and Gelecek Party Muğla Deputy Selçuk Özdağ submitted the petition to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
