Saadet Party Antalya Provincial Deputy Chairman Abdulkadir Kayabaş made important statements about the hunger limit and poverty line in Antalya, the monthly cost of a single employee, and the agenda. Kayabaş stated that, according to the report they prepared in the light of the economic data that took place in Antalya last month, the cost of housing for a family of 4 exceeded the limit of 10 thousand Turkish Liras (TL) this month, while the living cost of a single employee continues to be above 10 thousand TL. Saadet Party Antalya Provincial Vice President Abdulkadir Kayabaş said, “As Antalya is one of the most beautiful geographies in the world, it is one of the places that everyone wants to live and visit. Unfortunately, this situation has a negative effect on increasing living costs.”
“HUNGER LIMIT IN OUR ANTALYA INCREASED 243,90 TL COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH”
Expressing that the hunger limit in Antalya has increased compared to the previous month, Kayabaş said in his statement, “In November 2002, the amount that a family of 4, consisting of two adults and two children one aged between 15-19 and the other one between 4-6 in Antalya should spend for the necessary food in order to have a healthy, balanced and adequate diet is 2,180.52 TL for adult men, 1,846.28 TL for adult women, 2,355.60 TL for 15-19 years old children and finally 1,575.70 TL for a 4-6-year-old child, while the November 2022 Hunger Limit of the said family was realized as 7,958.10 TL. In our Antalya; hunger limit increased by 243,90 TL compared to the previous month and by 4,472.15 TL compared to the same month of the previous year. Thus, an increase of 128,29 percent was measured in annual food inflation. In the same period, the November 2022 Poverty Line, which is the amount to be paid in order to provide humane living conditions for the family of 4, together with 7,958.10 TL for food, 1,744.24 TL for clothing, 10,174.74 TL for housing (rent, electricity, water, fuel, etc.), 6,649.92 TL for transportation, 763.11 TL for education, 835,78 TL for health and 363.38 TL to be paid for various goods and services, was realized as 28,489.27 TL with an increase of 873.14 TL compared to the previous month and 11,651.67 TL compared to the same month of the previous year. According to our research, when food and non-food expenses are taken as a basis; In November 2022, which expresses the costs of a citizen who comes to our city to work and/or lives alone, the monthly living cost of a single employee is realized as 10,398.58 TL with an increase of 318,69 TL compared to the previous month and with an increase of 6,145.72 TL compared to the same month of the previous year.
