Iran's Embassy in Ankara held a 40th anniversary reception of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The reception held in a hotel in Ankara took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
Chairman of the High Advisory Board (YİK) Chairman Oğuzhan Asiltürk, Saadet Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turan, former President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Bülent Arınç, local and foreign mission chiefs, political party representatives and many politicians and journalists attended to the program.
Speaking at the reception, Ambassador of Iran Mohammad Farazmand, stressed the importance for the shaping of cooperation between Iran and Turkey. A revolution, known as the popular movement for democracy, freedom and independence, took place. With this revolution, Iran has defeated both its internal despot and the end of the intervention of foreign powers against the country.

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turan said, "We will continue to work with Iran to ensure peace and stability in our region. We will continue to be as it was in the past with our Iranian brothers and sisters," he said.
