The consultation meeting of the joint Turkish Grand National Assembly group of the Saadet Party and the Gelecek Party ended after a meeting that lasted approximately 9 hours.

At the meeting, the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Members of Parliament of the two parties made presentations. At the meeting, the work to be done after October 1, when the Turkish Grand National Assembly will open, was determined.

"SAADET GROUP WILL DO THE MOST EFFECTIVE WORK"

Stating that the Saadet Party and the Gelecek Party group will start working after the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on October 1, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu underlined that they will show the government the right path with the work to be done in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

"The Parliament will open on October 1, and our group will do very effective work during that period. We discussed the work of this team at the meeting we held here. I hope that Saadet Group will do the most effective work in the coming period," Karamollaoğlu said.

"OUR ORGANIZATIONS WILL WORK HARD BEFORE THE LOCAL ELECTIONS"

Pointing out that local elections are approaching, Karamollaoğlu stated that they want to carry out a successful work until the local elections.

"This is a period when we are approaching local elections. The main thing here is efficiency. At this point, we will cooperate with other parties as well as cooperate among ourselves. Being efficient in these local elections and winning as many municipalities as possible is a priority. In this regard, our organizations will work hard before the elections and we will carry out the necessary work," Karamollaoğlu added.

"WE WILL GUIDE THE GOVERNMENT WITH THE WORK OF OUR PARLIAMENT GROUP"

Pointing out that there are many problems in the current period, Karamollaoğlu stated that these problems were discussed at the meeting and said, "Of course, we are faced with many problems in the current period. But the biggest problem is economic problems. Our citizens were no longer able to go to the market, and the raises given by the Government to retired civil servants were insufficient. As a group, we will of course bring up how we can get rid of these problems. This will guide the government, and on the other hand, we will show what we will do when we become the authority tomorrow. We see that this government will not bring solutions to the problems. We hope that there will be a period in which these issues are brought to the agenda in the Parliament in the upcoming working period. We will show the public how effectively this group works."

"AMONG THE DISCUSSIONS, THE TWO PARTIES COME TOGETHER WAS THE ONLY MOVE THAT GIVES HOPE"

Stating that it was a first in the history of Turkey, Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu stated that it was a first for two parties to come together and establish a group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

"We held long consultations when making this decision. After the elections, the ruling voters were also unhappy. The 3-month results showed that 30-35 percent of the voters who voted for Erdoğan think that Erdoğan has failed. Farmers are screaming, retirees are screaming. Those who live in luxury and ostentation cannot understand this. Opposition voters are also unhappy. While a path had to be drawn, different discussions occurred. New divisions are occurring in politics. Such disintegrations are what the government wants most. In the face of this situation, the only promising move was the coming together of the Saadet Party, a well-established party, and our Gelecek Party, which, although newly established, has state experience," Davutoğlu said.

"THERE WILL BE NO CRACK IN THE SAADET-GELECEK GROUP"

Stating that the Saadet and Gelecek group will work to unite despite all the separations and polarizations, Davutoğlu underlined that there will be no crack in the parliamentary group and said, "We are determined to gather and unite against fragmentations, divisions, and this political disintegration. After October 1, the whole of Turkey will witness that the Saadet-Gelecek group will bring a different perspective to the parliament. We are a group founded in difficult times. The reason why there were some rumors before October 1 was to disband the group. They still haven't determined our place in the General Assembly of the Parliament, they are waiting until the last minute. However, there will be no crack in the Saadet Gelecek group, there will be a new group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly on October 1."
