Felicity (Saadet) Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu issued a message on the 20th anniversary of the 17 August 1999 earthquake. Karamollaoğlu, in his message, despite the passing of the earthquake over the years, said the necessary lesson is still not taken, "If these lessons were taken from the pain of the earthquake collection areas today would not be filled with buildings," he said.
Karamollaoğlu, "the pain in our hearts and memories are always fresh on the anniversary of the earthquake of August 17, 1999 and wish God's mercy to our citizens who lost their lives," he said.
NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN
Karamollaoğlu underlined that the necessary lessons were not taken despite the years after the earthquake, "If these lessons were taken, the earthquake collection areas would not be filled with buildings today. I hope that as a country we will take the necessary measures in the future and we will never face such a big drama again," he added.
