As local elections are approaching, political parties' efforts to nominate candidates continue feverishly. Saadet Party announced its first candidate in Ankara.
The party's Ankara Provincial Directorate announced its candidate for Gölbaşı, one of the metropolitan districts. At the District Congress and Candidate Promotion Meeting held at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center, educator Selim Akgül was introduced to the public as the mayoral candidate of Gölbaşı.
“WE WILL WIN AGAIN WITH THE SPIRIT OF 94”
Akgül, referring to Milli Görüş municipalism in his speech, said, "We are here to restart Milli Görüş municipalism and keep the spirit and excitement of '94 alive. I invite you all to the spirit of 94. We will win Gölbaşı Municipality. Young people, my sisters, we will win with you. We didn't wander around Gölbaşı, we didn't get bored, we didn't get bored, we won't give up and we will win Gölbaşı together."
“FIRST THING, WE WILL REMOVE THE DOOR”
Akgül promised that he would remove the mayoral office gate as his first action.
"We will undertake very nice projects for Gölbaşı. But when we win the election, the first thing we will do is to hang the words 'Both those who take bribes and those who give bribes are cursed' on the wall of the municipality. Afterwards, we will remove the door of the municipal office. The mayor's office will not have a door, it will be open to everyone," Akgül said.
ARIKAN: “WE WITNESSED YOUR DETERMINATION”
Saadet Party Kayseri Deputy Mahmut Arıkan and Antalya Deputy Şerafettin Kılıç also attended the program and supported Akgül.
"We came together with our organizations at the 7th Ordinary Congress of our Gölbaşı district. We witnessed the vision and determination of our mayoral candidate, Mr. Selim Akgül. I would like to thank our outgoing District Chairman Fatih Karabacak and his management for their sincere efforts so far, and wish success to our new district chairman Yunus Aygünoğlu and his management. Congratulations," Arıkan said.
AYGÜNOĞLU ELECTED AS DISTRICT PRESIDENT
Apart from the candidate promotion program, the district congress was also held. At the congress, there was a change in the district presidency. Former District Chairman Fatih Karabacak handed over his duty to Yunus Aygünoğlu at the congress.
