Saadet Party Gebze District Presidency continues to hold its weekly meetings. The weekly meeting, where Gebze's local problems and Turkey's agenda were discussed, was held in the Saadet Party Gebze district building. In the meeting attended by Saadet Party Gebze District Chairman Mustafa Türel and Saadet Party Gebze District Executive Board members, the organization presentation reports were also examined. Addressing the members of the organization at the meeting, Mustafa Türel drew attention to the fact that the Gebze Mayor did not fulfill the promises he made during the local election period.
“CITIZENS CANNOT GO TO THE MARKET DUE TO THE COST OF LIFE”
Speaking at the meeting, Saadet Party Gebze District Chairman Mustafa Türel drew attention to the exorbitant rents and said, “The cost of living has deeply affected all citizens. The Justice and Development Party (AKP) government said that they would make a house owner like paying rent. Now, our people are paying rent as if they were paying for a house. When the AKP said that we will go to space, the citizens could not go to the market because of the high cost of living. We also remember the promises of the mayor of Gebze. Unfortunately, this municipality did not take some steps before because there was no money. Now, after the Saadet Party brought it to the agenda, it announced that they would open a tender in August, especially on the terminal. Now I'm asking here; ‘What happened now that you have started to take these steps?’ This mentality, which has been ruling Gebze for nearly 20 years, has not been able to create an urban consciousness in our city, and I wonder how they will demand a vote in the upcoming elections. We are not deceived by the fact that they look like they have taken a service step. We are close followers of what you will do and what you will not do, and we will see.”
