9 QUESTIONS IN HAZELNUT
Karaduman, asked about the following 9 questions in the resolution of the questions asked about hazelnuts.
"How much of the hazelnut produced is purchased by the state? What is the reason why the hazelnut purchasing quota is not increased to cover the whole product of the producer so that the hazelnut producer is not victimized? Is it planned to increase the annual hazelnut intake quota? Almost all of the hazelnut consumption in the world is carried out by the European Union and other European countries and is mainly used as raw material in the chocolate and confectionery industry. What is the reason why our country is not effective in determining hazelnut prices? Is there a study conducted for the efficiency of our country in price determination?"
IS THAT THE SOME COMPANIES MONOPOLIZED?
"Is it true that some companies have monopolized the market in buying hazelnuts? What are the measures taken by your ministry for the supervision of the market? Are there any studies for certified, quality production and product variety? Is production planning made in hazelnut production? Is a study conducted to encourage the spread of good agricultural and organic farming practices in hazelnut production? Is there a study carried out to establish the product auction halls for the elimination of the problems experienced in product delivery?"
TEA MANUFACTURER IS VICTIM
Regarding tea production, Karaduman directed the following questions to be answered in relation to Tea Law No. 3092: "Does this law meet the needs of tea producers, tea buyers and tea production in our country? Is there a draft law to cover tea production, producer and producer issues? Taking into consideration the importance of tea production in terms of economic and social development of the region, what is the reason why the annual tea purchase quota of Çaykur is not increased to cover the whole product of the producer? Is it planned to increase the annual tea purchase quota of Çaykur? Tea producers who are not purchased by Çaykur are priced by the private sector and the tea producer is victimized. Is any work planned to prevent the victimization in question? Tea producers are victimized due to the low prices of illegal tea and painted/counterfeit teas that are introduced to the market due to insufficient food and customs inspections. Will additional measures be taken by your ministry?"
