Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, who made evaluations on the issues on the country's agenda, shared his party's views on politics and economy with the public.
THE GOVERNMENT FAILS NONE OF ITS 2023 TARGETS
Stating that 2023, which has become the AK Party government's favorite slogan for the last 10 years, is 4 months away, Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu underlined that there has been a 180-degree deviation from the targets.
Talking about goals and facts, Karamollaoğlu said, "The target was annual single-digit inflation, the result was inflation approaching monthly double-digits. The target in per capita income was 25 thousand dollars, the result fell even below 10 thousand dollars. The targets were not met in employment, exports, investments and any of the remaining tens of topics; On the contrary, each year, these targets have been further and further deviated. The success of a political party in the election is one thing, the success of a government in governing the country is completely different. The AK Party and Mr. Erdogan have won every election they have entered for more than 20 years; So when we look at the point reached after 20 years, what is the result? Sadly, it's frustrating. The more successful they are in winning elections, the more unsuccessful they are in governing the country. No matter how successful they have been in generating copious election promises; they were equally unsuccessful in achieving them."
“THE POWER AND ITS FOLLOWERS ENJOY WHILE THE PEOPLE ARE HAVING DIFFICULTIES”
Continuing his words by referring to the August inflation figures of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Karamollaoğlu noted that the AK Party broke inflation records in the new century of the Republic.
Referring to the pre-election discourses of the government, Karamollaoğlu said, "What they were saying before the election, 'We will break the back of inflation, we will reduce inflation to single digits.' Well, what happened after the election, inflation broke the back of the nation and continues to do so. What they were saying before the election, 'Interest rates will fall. Interest rates cannot increase as long as this soul is of this nature.' But what happened after the election, the interest rate record was broken with a sudden increase of 750 basis points. Fair sharing is the first condition of peace and security of a society. Establishing the balance of blessings and burdens is one of the primary duties of a government. In a country; If retirees try to live on 7,500 liras for a month, a handful of people spend it on shoes at once, millions of families try to survive for a month with 11 thousand 400 liras, a handful of people spend this amount on a dinner, workers and civil servants with 20-25 thousand liras. While the moon is trying to support their family, if a handful of people pay that money for one suit at a time; there is no mention of justice in that country. If the government and its supporters are enjoying themselves while the people are groaning, it is not possible to talk about a fair administration."
“POWER IS NOT SINCERE IN THE NEW CONSTITUTIONAL DISCOURSE”
"The government has now slurred the 'new constitution song'. I wish they were sincere, I wish they really had a problem of making a new constitution suitable for the needs of our country and our people," Karamollaoğlu continued his words and stated that the government used the discourse of the new constitution so that the real agenda of the country was not discussed.
Underlining the need for Turkey to get rid of the coup constitution, Karamollaoğlu said, "We must bring our country to a new constitution that is civil, embracing today and tomorrow with its language and content. However, we have serious doubts about the intention of the government in this regard. As a matter of fact, whenever this power is in trouble; it either initiates a new constitutional debate or announces a new economic model. They said the new economy model; They plunged the economy into one of the deepest crises in history. They said we are moving to the new system; They didn't leave anything like a system in the middle. And unfortunately, the government is not sincere in its proposal for a new constitution. Mr. Erdogan brings the constitutional debates to the agenda as a local election strategy. In order not to talk about inflation, cost of living, and financial difficulties, so that the taxes it receives and the interest it pays are not discussed, it is making the calculation of gaining votes by polarizing the society as uncovered-covered, secular-religious, right-wing and left-wing."
SAADET PARTY WILL CONTINUE TO TALK ABOUT THE COUNTRY'S REAL PROBLEMS
Stating that the Saadet Party focuses on the real agenda of the country, Karamollaoğlu noted that the real agenda of Turkey is unemployment, corruption and poverty.
Karamollaoğlu continued his words as follows:
"We will follow the problems of our nation in the strongest way, both with our group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and our organizations in Anatolia. See; More than 40% of workers in this country work for minimum wage. This rate is based on 80% with those who earn the minimum wage or slightly above. According to the data of Türk-İş; the hunger limit has exceeded 12 thousand liras, and the poverty line has reached 40 thousand liras. In other words, even civil servant salaries in our country are well below the poverty line. In summary, the vast majority of our citizens are condemned to hunger and the rest to wages below the poverty line. What are we still talking about? With which face and numbers are you still trying to draw pink paintings by rolling over? For these reasons, we will continue to say 'Ethics and spirituality first'. We will continue to say 'Justice first, always justice and justice to all'. We will continue to say economy of production and employment, not economy of waste and interest. We will continue to strive hard until we build a livable Turkey, until we establish a Great Turkey again, until we establish a just and New World."
